NAIDOC 2018 Yarning Circle at Quarry Green Ultimo – 11th July
The Uniting Harris Community Centre together with Heartdancers, KU Ultimo and Pyrmont Community Bank Branch Bendigo Bank would like to invite you to celebrate NAIDOC Week 2018 “Because of her, we can”. At this event we will be highlighting the importance of the invaluable contribution of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women who have made and continue to make to our communities, our families, our rich history and to our nation.
On Wednesday the 11th of July 2018 in Quarry Green Ultimo from 11:00am to 12:30pm we will be coming together in a yarning circle to learn from the local Elders and First Nations Cultural Educators about the history, values and achievements of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community to enhance your knowledge, understanding and experiences of the Indigenous people to establish awareness and recognition. On this day there will be cultural activities for kids and families as well as, a delicious bush tucker morning tea.
