Board responsibilities: Treasurer and Director

Susan Ngan graduated with a Master in Accounting (UWA), 2012 and holds professional membership in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia New Zealand (PCA) and Finsia.

Susan has a deep understanding of university teaching and learning with an extensive career in tertiary education since 2003 includes working at UWA as an accounting and finance research assistant while studying for her Master degree, lecturing and tutoring in accounting NZ and teaching assistance in accounting for various Perth universities. 2017 Banking and Finance tutor for The University of Sydney Business School course ( International Financial Management. Semester)

Susan has completed a research thesis at UWA on Australian Scheme of Arrangement and co-authored in a peer-reviewed journal article in Australian Journal Management 2015 with UWA Professors Izan and Da Silva Rosa and UTS Professor Bugeja. The publication was featured in the Financial Services section (The Australian p. 20 18/05/2015). 2017 peer-reviewed journal article Accounting and Finance (AFAANZ) http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/acfi.12307/abstract Titled: Choice of acquisition form in Australia and the post-takeover employment of target firm directors on the acquiring firm board co-authored with Professors Izan and Da Silva Rosa and UTS Professor Bugeja. Accounting research nomination includes program chair 2008 and 2010 for the AFAANZ Academic Accounting and finance research conference.
She is a Rotarian and currently member of the Rotary Club of Sydney, Darling Harbour.

Susan has held past Non-Executive director roles with both the City Council and not for profit community organisations including Community Representative of the Town of Claremont’s, Perth, Audit and Risk Committee 2011-2017, re-elected 3×2 consecutive terms Revenue Turnover of over $20 million and Past Treasurer and Board member of the Rotary Club of Crawley, Perth and an Assistant Treasurer and Board member of the Rotary Club of Sydney, Darling Harbour.

She has been recognised for her governance role including the Town of Claremont certificate of volunteer recognition, as a Community Representative and also the recipient of the Rotary Club of Crawley Certificate of Appreciation recognition award for her role as a Treasurer of the club.

She is also involved with the Athletics New South Wales club as a Track and Race walking official

Her Athletic nominations includes Gold Coast, 2018 Commonwealth Games Athletic Official as a sports competition team member and her past nominations includes the track and racewalking official for the Australian Athletics Junior and Open Athletic Championships.
